Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6/23/2026
PodSpark ("we", "us", "our") helps podcast creators plan episodes with an AI copilot. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use PodSpark, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have over your data.
Information we collect
- Account data β name, email, password hash, and (optionally) a profile photo and display name.
- Content you create β podcasts, episodes, outlines, research notes, show notes, prompts you send to the AI, and uploaded cover art.
- Usage data β pages visited, features used, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from IP address.
- Billing data β when you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor handles card details on our behalf; we store only a subscription identifier and plan status.
How we use your information
- Provide, secure, and improve the PodSpark service.
- Generate AI suggestions, outlines, and show notes from the prompts and content you submit.
- Send transactional emails (sign-in, billing receipts, episode-ready notifications) and, with your consent, product updates you can unsubscribe from at any time.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
AI processing
When you use AI features, the prompts and relevant content are sent to our model providers to generate a response. We do not allow our providers to train their foundation models on your content. Generated outputs are stored in your account so you can revise and export them.
Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with vetted service providers who help us run PodSpark β including cloud hosting, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, and AI model providers β under contracts that limit their use to providing services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
Data retention
We retain account and content data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
Your rights and choices
You can access, correct, export, or delete your account data at any time from Account settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to certain processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and routine backups to protect your data. No service is 100% secure β please use a strong, unique password and notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Children
PodSpark is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as PodSpark evolves. When we make material changes we will notify you by email or through the app before they take effect.
